D & K – Living Room and Dining Room Redesign

Harker Heights Interior Designer

D & K contacted Paula at Maison Chic Interiors to help with the over-all feel and look of their home. They stated that they wanted to “love” their space every single day when they arrived home – but couldn’t quite figure out how to achieve the goal. After an in-depth consultation and learning what they liked and dislike about their home – we put together a concept for a complete & total refresh of paint, textiles, decor and a redesigned fireplace. The old room was dark and off balance due to the scale of the room versus the short fireplace frame. Although open-concept plans are very sought after, they can also be somewhat overwhelming if there is no definition of spaces. Paula’s plan was to soften the feel of the room with a new blue/gray color scheme and define the eating area in the large space with a darker paint color. Reframing the fireplace to the ceiling and applying a gorgeous stacked stone balanced out the space as it always should have been. Take a look at the before & after galleries below AND check back soon as we are beginning the kitchen phase of the project! More pics will be added at the end of June 2018!
